Phosphor E Ink Digital Hour Clock Review

When I stumbled on this watch it instantly grabbed my attention for one reason: it tells time in a big way.  There are no fancy dials or a superfluous rotating elapsed-time bezel; just a big interface and two setting buttons.  What’s more is that all Phosphor watches are water resistant to 5 ATM – 50m so you never have to take them off. Last, but not least, the Jetson-esque design of these watches are eye catching and certainly make a statement.

Check out this packaging.  You open it expecting to find a jewel.

Thick and sturdy, the double pronged strap is sure to stay on even during the hardest of wake boarding falls.  The stainless steel casing is both substantial and stunning.  It features a unique brush metal face and mirror polished finish on the sides, giving the Phosphor a nice visual and tactile contrast.

What makes the Phosphor line truly unique is its E-ink technology. Not only does it provide a wonderful watch face for telling time, but you can change the background to either white or black.  This subtle change feature allows you to essentially alter the look of your watch depending on your mood or the occasion. It’s a very nice touch.

I really like the substantial case of the Phospher watch, yet cannot get over how comfortable it feels on your wrist. Due to its curved design, the Phosher naturally contours to your wrist and, even when it is slightly loose, it does not float from side to side.

If you are looking for something totally different, yet simple and won’t break the bank, check out a Phospher.
